Back by popular demand Bruinwood Estate Distillery released it's second batch of Earl Grey Gin infused with 3 types of Davis Bay Tea Co tea blends. Temptingly described as having flavours of juniper, bergamot and a hint of creaminess. The first "test" batch sold out fast prompting Bruinwood distiller Jeff Barringer to create another version, this time a bigger batch with different distillation process and combination of Earl Grey teas.
Barringer began the distillation using a "gin basket" process where the alcohol vapours pass through the first of the three Earl Grey tea blends. This results in a very clear, clean product. He followed by steeping a different Earl Grey tea blend with this high tier gin, enriching the colour and adding a depth of flavour that builds in layers throughout the distilling process. He finished by adding the wickedly popular Earl Grey Cream Ceylon which adds a "hint of creaminess" to the overall flavour profile. Each step of the process adds to the rich distinctive flavour of Earl Grey Gin.
Pairs nicely with lemon so if your looking to cocktails a classic Martini with a twist or Tom Collins and of course the best Hot Toddy Gin ever! So hot or cold this one rocks!
