Feeling pretty excited about our upcoming Afternoon Tea event at the Sunshine Coast Botanical Gardens on June 16 from 1-4pm. This is one of my wish list items for 2022...to host a tea at the beautiful garden Pavillion so I was thrilled when Heather Vince, Development Officer and Sue Chipman, volunteer contacted me about hosting a fundraising tea there. I like to think that I manifested it!
Super excited to be partnering with The Farm West Sechelt who are famous locally for their incredible sourdough, scones, artisan jams & jellies, pain au chocolate and so many other delicious treats. Suzy & John of The Farm offer their handmade treats twice weekly at the Sechelt Farmers Market on Saturday and Roberts Creek Farmers Market on Weds. This amazing couple are rock star famous on the Sunshine Coast and have been at the Sechelt Farmers Market for 10+ years so very likely you already have tasted their beautiful baked good and fresh produce.
Already knowing that Suzy is THE most fun person to do anything with it came as no surprise that she also makes THE most delicious clotted cream I've ever tasted! Pair that with her artisan jams (Strawberry Earl Grey, Rhubarb Vanilla, Black & Blue etc.) and her husband John's cream scones and I can barely remember my name.
Pair The Farms delicious baking with a selection of our DBT Co. loose leaf tea blends served in pretty china tea cups, teapots and strainers and tables decorated with flowers, linens and cake stands...who doesn't love a proper high tea? The Botanical Garden is raising funds to build an accessible path in the gardens by offering their members and general public the chance to experience a truly unique and special tea time.

In honor of this special event DBT Co. & The Farm have created a special "Botanical Tea Bundle" with a portion of the proceeds going to the accessibility path. Each bundle includes 50g of our most popular Rhubarb Cream Rooibos (caffeine-free) loose leaf tea, 250g of The Farm's limited edition custom Rhubarb Orange Blossom Jam and Cream Scone mix (just add cream or coconut cream if you are vegan).
