All online orders over $25 purchased on GIVING TUESDAY December 1, 2020 will trigger a $5 donation to the Sunshine Coast Foundation fundraiser for local COVID 19 relief on the Sunshine Coast. As of July 08, 2020 over $70,000 in grants to 17 organizations have been provided by generous donations to the SCF including the District of Sechelt which was doubling donations during the spring campaign. Local recipients included:
BC SPCS SC Branch, Pender Harbour Seniors Housing Society, Gibsons Marine Education Centre Society, Sunshine Coast Hospice and many more.
The Sunshine Coast Foundation is stepping up to help local efforts to address the impacts of the covid-19 crisis. Many of our most vulnerable populations, such as those with mental health challenges, isolated seniors, youth and families living in poverty, and those in inadequate housing are disproportionately affected by the closure of local facilities or reduction in services. The Sunshine Coast Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund will provide grants to local organizations whose programs and services benefit these populations, or whose operations are jeopardized by financial cut backs and fundraising challenges.

To make a donation to local COVID Emergency Relief via the Sunshine Coast Foundation, you may:
- Make a donation by credit card through CanadaHelps. Choose the Sunshine Coast Covid-19 Emergency Relief Fund.
- Write a cheque payable to the Foundation and mail it to Sunshine Coast Foundation P.O. Box 1343, Sechelt, BC V0N 3A0. Write Covid-19 in the memo line.
- Send an e-transfer from your bank to email@example.com. Send the password to receive the gift and let us know that you want it to be added to the Emergency Relief Fund.
